How Made-to-Order Works

What  is Made-to-Order?

Hristakiev operates primarily on a made-to-order basis.

Rather than producing large quantities of stock in advance, each piece enters production after an order is placed. This allows us to maintain limited production, reduce unnecessary inventory and dedicate the required time and craftsmanship to every garment.

Many Hristakiev pieces can also accommodate minor size adjustments or individual customisation upon request. Certain designs, particularly pieces from the Artisanal Line, involve specialised handcrafted techniques such as leather moulding and leather weaving.

How Made-to-Order Works?

Select the product, size and available options you would like to order and complete the full payment at checkout.

Once your order is confirmed, the piece enters our production process.

If you would like a minor size customisation, you can provide your measurements in the order notes or contact us after placing your order. Please send any measurements or customisation requests as soon as possible, as changes may no longer be possible once production has begun.

Where a product is individually made according to measurements, dimensions, proportions or other specifications supplied or specifically requested by you, it may be considered a customised product. This may also include individually leather-moulded pieces where the moulding or construction is adapted to the customer's measurements or other individual specifications.

Selecting a standard size, colour or other standard option offered on our website does not by itself constitute individual customisation.

How Long Will My Order Take?

Production time varies depending on the design and is stated on each individual product page.

Some pieces, particularly those from the Hristakiev Artisanal Line, require additional production time due to specialised handcrafted processes including leather moulding, weaving and detailed construction.

Once your product has been crafted, delivery normally takes approximately 3 to 9 business days.

Please note that production and delivery times are estimates and may occasionally be affected by the complexity of the piece, availability of materials, courier services or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Can You Return a Product?

Standard Made-to-Order Products

Yes.

Standard made-to-order products may be returned within 14 days from the date of delivery, in accordance with applicable consumer rights.

The product should be returned unworn, unused and in its original condition.

Customers are responsible for arranging and covering the direct cost of return shipping, unless the product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise does not conform to the order.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service when returning a product.

Once the return has been received and inspected, the applicable refund will be processed in accordance with our Terms & Conditions and applicable law.

Customised and Made-to-Measure Products

Products individually produced according to a customer's measurements or other specifically requested individual specifications are considered customised products.

This may include garments made according to individual body measurements, specifically requested alterations and leather-moulded pieces individually adapted to the customer's measurements, proportions or other agreed specifications. Where applicable, customised or clearly personalised products are not subject to the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal.

Nevertheless, as part of our voluntary returns policy, Hristakiev may accept the return of an eligible customised product within 14 days from delivery, provided that the product is unworn, unused, undamaged and returned in its original condition.

For an accepted return of a customised product, 70% of the purchase price will be refunded, while 30% will be retained in respect of the individual custom production, materials and craftsmanship involved in creating the piece.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

This does not limit your rights where a product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or does not conform to the individual specifications agreed with us.

What Makes a Product Customised?

A product may be considered customised where it is made according to individual specifications provided or specifically requested by the customer, including:

  • individual body measurements;

  • individually adjusted dimensions or proportions;

  • bespoke alterations to the standard design;

  • specifically requested construction or design changes; or

  • leather moulding individually adapted to the customer's measurements, proportions or agreed specifications.

A product is not considered customised solely because it is produced after an order is placed or because the customer selects a standard size, colour or other standard option available on our website.

Why Do We Work on a Made-to-Order Basis?

Our made-to-order model allows us to create deliberately rather than produce unnecessary inventory.

By producing according to actual demand, we can limit excess stock and focus our resources on craftsmanship, materials and the individual character of each Hristakiev piece.

Many designs are produced only in limited quantities or during a particular collection period. This means that each production run remains intentionally small and exclusive.

For our Artisanal Line, the made-to-order model is particularly important. Techniques such as leather moulding, hand-weaving and specialised construction require time and cannot be reproduced through conventional mass-production methods.

Our aim is to create pieces intended to be worn and kept beyond a single season.

Need a custom size?

If you would like us to consider a size adjustment or individual customisation, please send us your measurements or requirements when placing your order.

You can add them to the order notes at checkout or contact us directly after placing your order.

We recommend contacting us before ordering if you are requesting a significant modification to a product.
