Our Story
Hristakiev was founded by Petar Hristakiev in Ruse -- a small Bulgarian town situated on the banks of the Danube River. Known for its innovative and free-spirited culture, Ruse provided the foundation for Petar’s early artistic identity and shaped his instinct to question, reinterpret, and break away from inherited norms.
With a background in Theatre and Cinema, Petar has always been fascinated with visual storytelling, character, and human emotion. These influences are part of the foundation of his design philosophy: that traditions which no longer serve us should be challenged, and that fashion has the power to help embrace personality rather than constrain it.
Petar himself has always moved slightly outside the expected rhythm of things. From an early age, he felt like a deviation within a system that rewarded sameness. Rather than fight this difference, he embraced it. Experimenting, changing, and seeking an identity defined by his own personal truth rather than societal expectation. He believed that evolving with the times is the most natural state of being human. Yet, finding the courage to embrace this change took time. When he finally allowed himself to stand apart, the experience was both difficult and profoundly liberating.​​​​​​

​At its core, Hristakiev seeks to expand the vocabulary of masculine expression. A masculinity that has many layers --- strength, softness, depth, elegance, contradiction, all equally true. Petar’s desire is for those who wear Hristakiev to experience the same sense of liberation he discovered --- the freedom to redefine themselves, to evolve, and to express their most authentic self with confidence and reverence.​​
